Merlina Aventurin 

Recently graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, I am Merlina Aventurin. Graduating with a bachelors in  Broadcast Journalism with a keen eye and interest in graphic design.

            The eye opening journalism courses provided by FAMU, awaken my distinctive talent. Which is where I first teamed up with my fellow classmate, Ernest Nelfraud in building and maintaining the Instagram, snapchat and facebook pages of RattlersUnited. A social media means of accessing campus news and events. As secretary I was given the responsibility to organize our new team members, first bringing us together and managing their assignments. Also given the responsibility to design several of its’ graphic content.

            In addition to my organizational skills, I’ve also discovered my keen eye when it came to graphics. With my discovery and also being a college student, I began freelancing my newly found skill and with that I advanced. The combination of RattlersUnited and my previous experience as the layout editor of; Tallahassee Community College Talon newspaper, I then realized my main skill was me being well rounded in the different aspects of my field.

Also,  with my  position where as of Spring  2017 I was appointed layout editor of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University's newspaper the FAMUAN.

            As a recent graduate student, I am simply eager to unleash my ideas and creativity to the rest of the world.
